How to run PhoneGap on Android emulator?

Question

when I try to run the PhoneGap program in eclipse, I find an error:

[2013-02-13 12:51:21 - DeviceMonitor] Adb connection error: existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host [2013-02-13 12:51:22 - DeviceMonitor] Connection attempts: 1

OR

could not find compatible AVD

whereas I have android 4.2 and the corresponding API emulator 17 ..

You need to restart the ADB connection. Open command prompt (for windows)

/ sdk / platform-tools> adb -kill server

Then run adb server again

/ sdk / platform-tools> adb server -start

Now about failed to find compatible AVD

Check out the compatible version of Android for Android and create the virtual device accordingly or

1.Click on the project in the explorer project in eclipse. 2.Go to run → Run configurations → tab “Target”

Then select the radio button

Always request a device.

Apply settings, and next time you will be asked to select a device.
