Editing multiple selection of Sublime Text 2 in vintage mode

Is there a way to edit files in several ways in vintage mode?

I pressed cmd + D (this is under Mac) to select line instances in a file, but I cannot figure out how to edit the selection.

This is under Sublime Text 2.

I have not tested this on a Mac, but on Linux with CTRL-D you got into visual mode. When you are in visual mode, c allows you to change the selected text, inserting you into the insert mode in the same way as vim.

I struggled to figure it out myself. I came to the conclusion that simply selecting a word with Ctrl+D and then pressing c not a complete solution. He will choose only the first occurrence of the word. To select and change all of them, I found that I need to perform the following sequence:

  • Place the cursor at the beginning of the desired word
  • Ctrl+D to select a word
  • Ctrl+F to open the Find field pre-populated with the desired word
  • Alt+Enter to select all matching words
  • c to make changes
  • Esc to return to COMMAND MODE

There are several posts across the Internet ( including documentation on the Sublime Text website ) that say Alt+F3 will select all matching words. This does not work for me on openSUSE / KDE. Pressing Alt+F3 instead will open a window menu to minimize, maximize, etc. In fact, if you hover over the Find All button after opening the Find window, an Alt text will appear indicating Alt+Enter .

Usually I just press Shift + up / down / right / left and you will find that you can select whatever you want. Powered by Mac Sublime 3.
