Rails application to the engine

How can we convert an existing rails application (3.2.11) into an engine. We have certain functions in our rails application, and we want to use this application for rails applications as an engine so that we can add / share / mount this function with another rails application.

Do we have any stone available or any idea for this.

We recently started doing this at my company, and we will never look back. Gems are great for using the same logic in multiple projects.

So, start with this railscast: Mountable Engines (I think this is the correct link, it is blocked here at work, so I can "Of course, if it’s not, just google" railscasts engine. ")

Also, check out the documentation here.

Here we started, and we instantly released our engine.
