CSS3 FlexBox Transitions

Question

In this example codepen: http://codepen.io/DrYSG/pen/ovctn I created three flexboxes. The effect I want is that when a person hangs over the middle drawer, it grows in size (the color change in the demo is just to help me find out about the hang).

In FireFox v19, this works almost right. But it is strange that he chooses the starting and ending widths of the animation.

In Chrome v25, I get fast intermittent wobble (blinks). Really not right.

In IE10, I get the same transition as FireFox, but without a smooth transition.
