Do I need to explicitly clear the data binding before removing the control?

I just read an old blog article here that advises calling .databindings.Clear() before deleting to avoid memory leaks. The article was written taking into account .Net 1.0 / 1.1, is it still necessary or desirable in .Net> 1.1?

This method is for Control.ResetBindings (). And no, you do not need to call it yourself, it is automatically called by the Control.Dispose () method. You can verify this from the Reference Source , net / fx / src / Winforms / Managed / System / Winforms / Control.cs source code file.
