I checked it too. DS2 and DSS are owned by Olympus, Philips, and Grundig. So the documentation is pretty quiet. This is why it is so hard for you to find any information about this. This is stupid, I know. I would like it to be more open source, but there is hope. A month ago, I saw an iPhone app that in some cases used DS2 and DSS files, and they were not a subsidiary of Olympus, Philips, or Grundig. So it might be out there somewhere. At this point, you may have to work around this problem. May I ask what you plan to do with the .dss and .ds2 files so that I can offer suggestions on possible workarounds.
