Is P2P really serverless?

I follow this guide here. P2P

One of the advantages that I thought P2P would bring is the fact that this is a serverless setup. Now that I have this job, I noticed that you need permission to keep track of who is connected.

For me, this really requires a server, since you need a resolver to get P2P to work first.

It depends on your server definition, which I assume. For example, in a P2P game, most players will connect to a central point, select and interact with each other without a server.

This means that the server does not need to post any data that it just needs to coordinate with those who do it. It does not allow resources (since each client needs to connect only once), and the infrastructure is often more reliable.

Need a central peer coordination application? Yes

Does this application need to transmit a data / data stream to each peer? No
