Trying to make UML diagrams with papyrus on an eclipse, but no diagrams are visible ... what could be the problem?

I have eclipse 4.2 and papyrus 0.9. I started modeling the project by creating class diagrams, but the problem is that the papyrus does not draw diagrams in the editor panel. I can create and add attributes and operations from the model explorer, and I can view them there, but I do not see any diagrams in the editor. I use the perspective of papyrus in modeling. so my question is.

  • What am I doing wrong?
  • Do I need to add other papyrus components?
  • or is it how papyrus works?

but the pdf tutorials from the eclipse papyrus project website show diagrams drawn using a palette view that I cannot find in my eclipse.

In Eclipse Kepler (4.3) and Papyrus (4.3), I could not find a way to update the view (class diagram) of the model (Explorer model). If I created an operation by dragging the node operation from the palette to the class in the view, the operation was added to both the diagram and the model explorer.

You need to switch to the papyrus perspective to display the palette view.

I just wrote about this and a few more troubles . (I understand that this question is old enough that you most likely refused, but I found it when I was looking for a solution to the same problem.)
