How to edit Windows Phone Emulator image hosts file?

I am developing a Windows Phone application and I wanted to test the functionality of In-app applications in my application.

Microsoft Provides a web service for testing IAP, but since os automatically connects to the Windows Phone Store, there is no way to verify that the IAP application is working properly.

How can I do that?

I found this while preparing my environment for this purpose:

There is a folder on the computer where you can find the .vhd files of the virtual machines used to emulate Windows Phone.

C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft SDK \ Windows Phone \ v8.0 \ Emulation \ Images

Here you can find all images of the emulator: Emulator Images

Delete the read-only attribute from the VHD file that you want to change: Remove Read-Only Attribute

VHD file for mounting (Windows 8 or higher is performed by simply double-clicking on the file or opening it using Explorer)

After that you should see 5 additional sections Extra partitions

2 of these sections are system partitions; you can identify them because they have 15% to 40% free space

2 partitions

Of these 2 sections, we take care that the section contains the Users folder. Now we must go to the next path:

YourDriveLetter: \ Windows \ System32 \ Drivers \ Etc

Hosts file witch we must change

in this file we have to set the display

yourmachineip marketplaceedgeservice.windowsphone.com

192.168.1.109 marketplaceedgeservice.windowsphone.com

Save the file and extract the first section enter image description here

Now you’ve finished configuring Mapping, it’s, of course, useless if you did not configure your computer to use the WebService provided by Microsoft for testing IAP
