OpenNI 2 OS X Mountain Lion

I struggled with this for too long. I am trying to install OpenNI 2 to make my kinect work with Mac on OS X Mountain Lion.

I downloaded the package for OS X from http://www.openni.org/openni-sdk and I ran the install.sh file with sudo privileges inside it, which is absolutely nothing but creating the OpenNIDevEnvironment file in the same folder as installation file. In Redist, I see several libraries that are not installed. I also looked at the install.sh script. He must not copy anything!

Can someone tell me how to move on from now on?

I have a problem too. try downloading https://github.com/OpenNI/OpenNI2 than go to the folder and do "sudo make"

in my case, my new problem is β€œdevice not found”. but that could be a Kinect Model 1473 issue.

It seems that the first step seems to do nothing, but there is more, it may have answers: http://www.theworldneedsmoredreamers.net/using-openni-2-2-beta-on-os-x/
