CouchDB on the LAN

I have work on the couch and configured a local static IP address on my computer, so that I can have a local network, 127.0.0.1:5984/_utils works, but my static ip 192.168.1.4:5984/_utils does not. I tried ping 192.168.1.4 and it goes, but 192.168.1.4:5984 does not. Thoughts?

EDIT: I work in a Windows environment.

Take a look at the etc/couchdb/local.ini read by the couch. There is a bind_address option in the [httpd] bind_address . If you set it to 0.0.0.0 , CouchDB will listen on all interfaces.
