Reset VS 2012 Windows Simulator Settings

I played with the simulator that ships with VS 2012 and decided to check the resolution to see if my application would look good in high resolutions. You never know how much is required of my car. The simulator crashed, and since then I have not been able to use it. I can start it outside the visual studio, but as soon as I press something, it freezes and starts to lock my car. I am running Windows 8 in a virtual machine, so it is already a bit limited.

Is there a way (either through the registry, or any other means) to reset the simulator settings? I need to disable permission so that I can use it to test my applications.

This is definitely less than optimal, but I found a solution if you are desperate. I decided to repair VS 2012 to solve some other things, and it has reset simulator settings.

This once again confirms that there should be an easy way to do this, because the installer probably just copied the default registry settings in place with fresh copies of the files. Therefore, I will not accept this answer on time, so that others can see it and, I hope, have proposed a better answer.
