Geotag image

I would like to use pure HTML5 to try and test its ability to geotag images with location. How can this be done in HTML5?

I used Google to find the answer, but to no avail. I am sure this has been asked before, but cannot find a similar question, and there seem to be very few examples.

I have a search workspace, I just need to upload an image and mark it with a location and save it in local storage.

any help here would be appreciated.
