Workbench did not install Mysql in services. Should I do it manually? How?

I just installed workbench CE 5.2. I tried to create and open a connection and he said: "Cannot connect to the MYSQL server on" 127.0.0.1 "(10061)"

I looked at the answers on stackoverflow. In the end, I found my way on services. I saw that Mysql was not there.

dev.mysql.com says that I should install it using "mysqld", but it was not found inside the Workbench installer.

What should I do? If there is a way, please say it step by step.

Thanks!

Did you install the MySql server on the local computer? Workbench is just a graphical program that facilitates access to the database - whether on your local computer or on a remote computer.

Just install mysql on your local computer. See http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/

There is a MySQL installer for Windows that installs everything you need in this regard. Including multiple server versions, connectors, tools such as Workbench and more. This installer should be your first attempt.

Of course, you can also install the server separately. Download msi and run the installer. Make sure you name your service correctly. mysqld is usually not the name we use for windows for a service. I recommend something like MySQL56 (for server 5.6).
