Using Atmosphere for Comet GWT

I was looking for a simple comet introduction framework for my GWT application. I looked at a gwt rocket that seems inactive, and then at a gwt comet that is not active, and then at the atmosphere-gwt comet that was transferred to the atmosphere project, and finally tried to actually load the gwt sample from the atmosphere and work with him .: |

I added the project my-gwt-server and atmosphere-gwt-client (version 0.8.6) to my project and tried to work out a sample of the existing atmosphere. I keep getting exceptions related to terminating the connection and no messages. It seems that the example does not publish anything and does not say how to do it.

I can not find any good JavaDocs or documents working with this framework, and in no other active recommended framework. In addition, I can’t understand which comet method is used in this atmosphere β€” long polling or streaming? It seems like a long survey for my application, and I don’t want to go into many of the problems / incompatibilities that I read using the streaming method.

Can someone recommend an easy solution for you? Sample? documentation?

thanks

The atmosphere not only supports lengthy polling and streaming, but also web ports. I have not tried the GWT module for the atmosphere, but I can tell you that this is a rather polished frame, and the main developer is active both in development and with support. Project Homepage:

https://github.com/Atmosphere/atmosphere

Here's the javadoc for the latest version:

http://atmosphere.github.com/atmosphere/apidocs/

You can also take a look at the blog launched by the developer, which contains a lot of useful information:

http://jfarcand.wordpress.com/

And if you have any questions related to the atmosphere, I recommend that you first look here and see if there were any answers to your questions before:

http://groups.google.com/group/atmosphere-framework?pli=1

Hope this helps :-) I urge you to try Atmosphere to try, once you get used to it, it's awesome! Also take a look at the white paper available for download from the github page!
