Youtu.be URLs are no longer equivalent to youtube.com URLs

Question

I made about 20 YouTube videos, each of which created a URL in the form of www.youtu.be/… , which was equivalent to the same URL, but from www.youtube.com/…

I issued QR codes based on previous URLs and published them in my book published last fall (October 2012). Now youtu.be URLs no longer work (why?), But similar youtube.com URLs are ok.

How can I use the youtu.be URLs again (otherwise I will have to create new QR codes, which is problematic because others are published in the book).

If you still have this problem, I suggest that your QR code is on your site and this sit will be redirected to the video. this way, even if youtube pops your videos, you can upload them to another server and just update the oversupply
