Large touch screen

I have to create a large screen multi-touch application. By and large, I mean that the chief editor of the news (about 55 inches and above). The application is an interactive map.

My questions: what technology for application development. My first idea was to make it in Adobe Flex, but then there is HTML5 too ... There must be some awesome Java library for touch interactions, but then on the Windows platform, should there also be a C # library?

Can someone point me in the right direction.

The backend is likely to be in Java EE.

Are there any specialized sdk touch cards?

Why reinvent the wheel?

Ventuz transfers the best software that I have used and use it daily. This is especially for large multi-touch presentations.

If you want to build it yourself, you have a long way to go. Ventuz is extremely flexible and allows you to do everything you need, mostly touching the touch screen.

(And they, like you, are based in Germany)

Here are some demos they showed last year on NAB
