The debugger does not work: "Socket connection error" after starting the debugger

I tried using a debugger in aptana 3 studio. I am using firefox 20.0 ..

I ... 1.) ... remote firebug before using Aptana. 2.) ... chose the debugging perspective in Aptana and launched the debugger. 3.) ... installed the extension

4.) After 57% progress: β†’ Error.

"Starting Firefox-Internal Server" has encountered a socket connection error. Try disabling and restarting the web browser, and then starting debug again.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? I could not find a solution ... but many people with the same problem

Thank you for your help.

The only solution I found was to remove Firefox. Then run debug and install firefox, firebug, etc. In accordance with the request. (during the process, Firefox and Aptana need to be restarted a couple of times). After that, you can debug for some time until the Aptana-FF bridge is corrupted again and the FF needs to be removed again. (I wonder if there is any other IDE that is correct and supported).

There are a few things needed for debugging in Aptana ... I had the same problem and I had to uninstall Git and then install PortableGit and then it worked fine.

I followed all the instructions for downloading Aptana on another computer that it worked perfectly with. I thought I had Git on this machine, I do not need PortableGit - I guessed what was wrong ...

Make sure you add Git to your path (on Windows - click "Start" Rt-Click on the computer β†’ "Properties" β†’ "Advanced system settings" β†’ "Find") and add the existing line to the end "; C: \ <% System Program%> \ Git; " - in my case C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Git - if you are using a 64-bit version of Windows C: \ Program Files \ Git if 32Bit (add a semicolon before adding this.

It also requires Ruby and the latest version of Java (even I hated adding it because of its security issue ...) (follow the download instructions ... the rest was optional for me.

FYI - before opening Aptana, I had to β€œUninstall” Add-On for Firebug since it will install the appropriate version. After that, open Firefox and in Add-On click "Advanced" under firebug and set it to "Do not auto-update."

Good luck ... let me know if this doesn't work ...
