How to deploy new threads in Mule without rebooting?

When we change the Mule deployment descriptor (mule-deploy.properties file) to add additional thread configuration files, do we need to restart Mule to start new threads? Can I use new threads without restarting the Mule or interrupting already running threads?

As I understand it on the Hot Deployment page in the Mule documentation , Hot Deployment only works for modified Java configuration files and classes. Does it also work for a deployment descriptor?

You can always touch any configuration file that has already been loaded so that Mule launches a hot deployment so that it collects new entries in mule-deploy.properties .
