Turn UIView into a storyboard using iOS6

I have a UILabel , I need it rotated 180 degrees, so the text is displayed upside down. I did a few searches and found this question that covers rotations using CGAffineTransformMakeRotation .

Is there any way to rotate it directly to my UIStoryboard ? The shortcut will always be displayed with the same fixed rotation, so it would be nice if it just displayed on my storyboard in the same way as during work. I found this post saying this is not possible , but this is a pretty old post (I think before the storyboard). Of course, if it's not with the storyboard, I can just use CGAffineTransformMakeRotation , as in the other question that I linked in my viewDidLoad .

No, there is no way to do this; you need to apply the transform in the code (and, as you say, viewDidLoad is a good place).

The storyboard editor / nib is remarkably good, but there are still a lot of things you can do for a view that you can only do in code, and this applies to individual subclasses of UIView as well. And, of course, you cannot access the main view layer in the storyboard editor / nib at all; for example, you cannot display rounded corners in a storyboard / nib.
