How to install Joomla 2.5 component by copying files without using J installation manager

Question

When installing a custom component on Joomla 2.5, everything works well. If I just copy and paste the contents of the component into the appropriate /components/com_mycomponent without installing it, the directory structure becomes the same, but the component will not be found upon request.

I assume that the component requires installation to work. My question is how to simulate this installation without actually installing the component. So, how can I tell Joomla that there is a component copied to the component directory.

I need to be able to create test components and develop them without installing them on the platform until they are ready.

Choose Extensions → Extension Manager from the Joomla! Administrator Panel Joomla! Administrator Panel . Then select the Discover menu item on the Extension Manager screen that appears.

As stated in the Joomla Docs Guide: Discover searches in Joomla! installation directories for remote extensions. Any deleted extensions will appear in the list of extensions. Caches search results so that they continue to be displayed on subsequent visits to this screen. "

I tried this for my projects
Log in to your admin panel first
Go to the “Expand” tab, then click “Expansion manager”. You will find the “Discovery” tab and the component that you copied in the list. just click the "Install" button at the top and it will work when you install any component.
