NewRelic gem crashing app for a hero

Question

I am having problems downloading my application to download according to the hero for any reason, getting an application error when trying to visit a website. Getting the following error:

It first appeared when I added a new embossed stone, version 3.6.0.83 and was not fixed when upgrading to 3.6.1.87 . Gem removal removes the problem.

I work at New Relic. I know this is pretty old, but I decided that I would answer if other users would have the same problem.

The error you see looks like an instance of the problem that we fixed in version 3.6.4 of the Ruby agent (see the entry in the list of changes ).

In short, the main reason was the race condition, caused by the fact that we started loading ActiveRecord::Base from the background thread when creating a report on the environment in which the application was running. The fix was to go back to our previous behavior of generating this report on the main thread.
