Can I capture iPhone 5S slow motion video programmatically?

I could not find the answer to this question and, looking at Apple’s own applications, such as iMovie on iOS, the video collector does not offer a slow motion option on the iPhone 5S.

Selecting an image provides very little control over the video. If you want to dive deeper into the API, you can use it AVFoundationto capture your video and control the properties of the camera as you wish.

IOS 7 introduces a new class AVCaptureDeviceFormatthat will give you the maximum and minimum supported frame rates for the capture device, and you can use them to set a custom frame rate on the camera itself. I don't have an iPhone 5S, so I can’t check if this API fully works up to 120FPS.
