Can Kafka High Level Consumer be assigned to a specific section?

Considering the fact that a consumer in Kafka can be configured to receive messages from only one section, I have not seen an approach to configuration for this.

How to inform Kafka broker:

What am I CONSUMER A with this ID , under this GROUP L , subscribing to TOPIC X , who wants to receive a PARTITION A stream ?

And then run another CONSUMER B under GROUP L , which subscribes to TOPIC X , wanting to get the PARTITION B stream ?

In other words, as in the script described by Kafka,

How to start a consumer subscription to a wall tape of a specific user? Can I start a user when a user logs in, the consumer of his section forms a topic and sends a feed to the client?

This seems to be not a function implemented in 0.7.
