How to select (highlight) text in a Chrome application

Question

I play with the Chrome app and find it very interesting.

But I wonder why, how to select text inside a div in a Chrome app.

I tried, but it seemed to be inoperative.

Does anyone know a problem?

PS: This application reads a text file and then displays the result in a div.

The default CSS is slightly different in applications, as defined in platform_app.css . You will need to add CSS to enable the selection:
