Google Analytics and Quantcast

Do I need to have both GA and Quantcast on your site? I see that many websites use both of them, but what's the point of using both of them when one does the same? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

I use both of them and what is mentioned about quantum code is correct that it has a different view of traffic. In fact, at some point, I was worried that it might not be practical to use 2 codes to measure the same traffic, but I think they work fine
