Error in Cocoa Touch Tool Interface Builder after updating storyboard from xcode 4 to 5

Question

After upgrading my MainStoryboard.storyboard to xcode 5 from Xcode 4, my project no longer compiles, it just nods. And I see on the activity monitor that the Interface Builder Cocoa Touch Tool gives out all the processor and memory power, and forcing the completion of this process is the only way to get xcode to stop compiling.
