EL syntax error - en

The next statement on the JSP page encounters an error near the first equals . What is the reason and how can we solve this problem. Please correct me as soon as possible.

${(fn:length(updateStock.todayDimensionStones)==i.count) && (!DimensionStones.status.equals('New')||!DimensionStones.isInspected.equals('No'))}

Page loaded successfully. But the JBOSS VISUAL STUDIO editor says that

In JSP EL, ==(or !=) is usually used to compare strings, rather than .equals():

${(fn:length(updateStock.todayDimensionStones) == i.count) &&
  (DimensionStones.status != 'New' || DimensionStones.isInspected != 'No')}

AFAIR, the latest version of JSP EL allows you to call methods, but your IDE is probably deprecated and does not expect this. Eclipse is well known for signaling errors that are not errors at all. Trust the application server.
