Is simultaneous Bluetooth and Bluetooth LE connectivity possible?

I'm currently trying to develop a piece of software that will require the connection of one Bluetooth classic device and at least 2-3 Bluetooth Low Energy devices. And, of course, communicate with these devices, so this is not enough to be able to connect devices, as well as connect and communicate with them.

I use Nexus 4 (Android 4.3) as the device that connects to these Bluetooth and Bluetooth LE devices.

Is this possible or is there some kind of restriction that can only connect one or another type of Bluetooth device at a time?

I am sure that in the Bluetooth standard there are no restrictions for the simultaneous use of both conventional and LE-connections (on the host side).

However, I think that there may be a limitation on the fact that on the same device at the same level there is both a regular and LE connection. However, there is no reason for this, since all LE features are available through a regular Bluetooth connection on devices with both capabilities.

EDIT: You can restrict the device to not allow both LE and BR / EDR, or you can also enable it. I'm not sure why you want to connect both on one device.
