Status 500: System.ServiceModel.ServiceActivationException on WCF Call

Question

I am trying to send a string from an android client to a .NET server. Below is the server code: IService1.cs

When I test the service with a chrome application called PostMan, we get the following error: -

500 System.ServiceModel.ServiceActivationException

I am trying to send json in the format: -

{ImageData: "test string"}

What could be causing the error?

I had this problem while running the JSOM SP2013 asynchronous function

clientContext.executeQueryAsync(Function.createDelegate(this, OnQuerySuccess), Function.createDelegate(this, OnQueryFail));

and resolved it using IIS reset.

Just open Windows PowerShell as an administrator and run iisreset.
