Disable slash and apostrophe from quick search on Firefox

Firefox's quick search feature is very annoying. Can you please help me disable quick search. When I click the slash or apostrophe, firefox quickly finds what is interfering with my work. Please, help.

Thanks and greetings, Durga Prasad.

Yes, you can disable it (or alternatively reassign) using the extension SearchHotkeys : https://freeshell.de//~kaosmos/index-en.html#searchkeys

mozillaZine also has this information: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Find_bar_opens_when_typing_in_textbox

Find accessibility.typeaheadfind.manualand set it to false.
