There are several topics to this. but I still could not find a solution.
I am trying to create a local database (SQL Server CE) that will synchronize with the SQL Server database (SQL Server 2012).
Simple, add a local database cache to your project cache. Nopes, MS acknowledged that the missing local database cache in VS2012 is a mistake, but over the past year they seem to have done nothing to fix it.
It is becoming increasingly unclear to me whether CE 4.0 supports any form of synchronization, MS simply states that it is not, some sites say that it is easy to implement (but they skip 7 steps to this, so I don’t think that any solution )
I installed ErikEJ SQL Server Compact Toolbox from http://sqlcetoolbox.codeplex.com/releases/view/80269 , but it will not allow me to add a local database cache (do I have a local database cache option, but is it inactive ??? )
He mentioned that options are unavailable since SQL Server CE 3.5 was not installed, so I also installed this (next to SQL Server CE 4.0)
I still can’t select “Generate local database cache” and select the SQL Server CE 4.0 or 3.5 database, I see the “Sync Tools” option, but the three items below it ... are again grayed out.
I slowly get to the loss of my pacifist nature ...
