CakePp Blog Tutorial Error

I am new to cakephp. I followed this http://book.cakephp.org/2.0/en/tutorials-and-examples/blog/part-two.html study guide, everything works fine except for the “editing method” when I click on the edit link, which he gives after a warning message and does not edit.

To clarify this a bit,

$this->request->is(array('post', 'put'))

causing the problem because it CakeRequest::is()was able to execute only arraywith CakePHP 2.4.0, earlier versions are awaiting string.
