Maven-failafe-plugin does not run test cases from one class in parallel

I have one test class with several test cases that I would like to run in parallel.

I have below settings in pom.xml

But instead of running in parallel, test cases are executed sequentially.

Please explain what could be wrong here?

Directly adding a parallel configuration to the maven-failafe-plugin does not work (may be an error.)

But we can set the parallel attribute and the number of threads in the surefire plugin configuration.
