How to compare ArrayList with a dynamic array

Question

Is it ArrayListjust an interface for a dynamic array? Or are they the same thing?

like: ArrayListmatches a dynamic array, HashMapmatches Map?

except that I don't see the Java API for something like a dynamic array, if it isn't ArrayList?

in this case they will be the same!

supposedly the same thing?
