MVC 2 Project Upgrade to MVC 5

Question

I am in the process of converting a large enterprise solution into a VS2013 solution, and I ran into a problem with one of the projects. One of the projects is built using MVC2, and we hope to get it before MVC5 with minimal impact. What would be the best way to do this?

• Update 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 at a time?
• Update directly 2 → 5?
• Create a new project and manually drag things?
