In Objective-C, when do you declare atomicity for your properties?

In Objective-C, in what scenarios / use case do you declare atomicity for your properties in your iOS / cocoa development? List practical use cases.

Note. I understand the difference between atomic and non-atomic, but few answered this in the context: "I used atomic property when I did this, and it is absolutely necessary." Most of the answers to atomic / non-atomic were theoretical and superficial.
