How to apply a patch for the ruby version in an elastic beanstalk

We are launching our application on Amazon Elastic Beanstalk and we want to update the version of rubies that we use to the latest version of the patch and we cannot understand what is the best way to do this. I think we could use container_commandsin the configuration, but I'm not sure if this is the right way to do this.

Correct way to specify patch level in gemfile?

You can install ruby version in gemfile, for example:

ruby "2.0.0"

Or, if you want to install the engine, engine_version, etc.:

ruby "1.9.3", :engine => "jruby", :engine_version => "1.7.8"

, .
