How to detect and / or block browser extensions that ruined my site?

More and more of our users (I run the French blogging platform) are complaining about errors in our interface. In 90% of cases, the problem arises from the extension that is installed in the userโ€™s browser. Users often donโ€™t even know that they have these extensions.

For example, there is Avast, which removes the sharing buttons (Twitter, FB) and some extensions, such as Pricepeep, Slick Saving, Deaply Shopping, VideoFileDownload or Pricora, which completely ruined our interface.

The problem is that users believe that this is our mistake, and then exit without further investigation: - (

Do you have a wonderful solution to block or detect some or all of the bad browser extensions? Thanks in advance!

If you think this is worth it, you can implement your own extension (and invite the user to install it to get rid of the UI gap).

In this extension, you should use the API : chrome.management

  • Get all installed and activated extensions (using the method ). getAll()
  • , , , "" (, ).
  • .
  • uninstall .
