Using libcurl to display incoming IMAP messages

I start Xubuntu 13.04 and install the latest version of libcurl / curl:

$ curl -V

curl 7.29.0 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) libcurl / 7.29.0 OpenSSL / 1.0.1c zlib / 1.2.7 libidn / 1.25 librtmp / 2.3

Using the following command, I tried to list the letters in the inbox

curl -u 'user: password' -X "EXAMINE INBOX" --url 'imaps: //mymailserver.com: 993 / INBOX'

But instead, I only get the body (text) of my first (oldest) message in the inbox. I tried some other commands mentioned in this question . But each command returns the body of the text of my first mail. The same thing happens when I run a request through libcurl.

Curl has limited IMAP support up to version 7.30. I upgraded to 7.33 and now everything is working fine. I got an answer to the list of twists .
