Shoe data stream

This may not be a very specific question, but any help or points in the right direction would be very helpful. I am trying to make a shoe app for myself that will display stock quotes, I think is ahead, and the problem I am facing is that I would like to have stream quotes. I can capture this data from any financial site, and that’s not a problem, but I’m concerned about how to update the view in the Shoes app. Can someone lead me in the right direction to create an application that will update the text in my application every X seconds or perhaps a daemon that does this continuously. Literally any help is appreciated, as you can probably tell from the question, I definitely need help!

Are you interested in Timers . They allow you to call procs based on a given interval.

A good starting point is the sample clock code .

shoes -m

at the command prompt will start shoesin help mode.
