Line suppression conditionally in crystal report

I have a vertical line that I want to suppress with a condition. Unfortunately, I do not see a variant of the condition on the line. When I use an empty text box, all other text moves down. Is there another suppression option for a string?

You cannot conditionally suppress a string in CR. I know two options to get around this:

  • Put the line in your section and then conditionally suppress the section.
  • Place the text field on the line, and then conditionally format the background of the text field by right-clicking on the text field β†’ "Field Format β†’ Border" tab -> check the "Background" checkbox -> click "x + 2" to enter the conditional formula The formula will look like if condition then crWhite else NoColorwhere it crWhitewill hide the line, NoColorshow it.

Easy way

  • Inserting a text object increases the length of the object as needed.

  • Go to β€œFormat Object” β†’ select a border property and select Top or Bottom Rows.

  • (, ) , , .
