XML namespace processing

Question

Can someone tell me what exactly the meaning of namespace processing means . I read everything about xml namespaces and xml schemas, but couldn't find anywhere what the above term means.

I believe this is the name for some kind of normal task, but I would like to be sure what that means.

This function determines whether the parser processes the namespace.
