BigCommerce is currently doing a pretty good job of defining canonical links for pages. But I'm looking to update the behavior for the product list pages and remove the page number from the link.
It currently behaves like / category /? page = 1, / category /? page2 etc. I want the page number to use / category completely and simply
I prefer that search engines treat all of these pages as one page, as this is the same data that is indexed from other places.
Currently, the page defines the canonical link in the title as:
%% Page.CanonicalLink %%
I am looking for someone to run into this problem and am looking for a solution.
