Java Tomcat "OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" caused by endless sessions?

I apologize for the title, but I'm not quite sure how to ask this.

I recently started to encounter "OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" after leaving my application on the tomcat embedded server for a very short time.

I don’t even need to query the server, I just start mvn clean install tomcat7:runand leave the server running, and OutOfMemoryError is thrown in a few minutes.

I launched the application through the profiler (VisualVM). The server is running and running around the first increase in "heap size", "Heap Used" only continues to grow after this and until it is exhausted.
