I often cannot find the hgrc files downloaded by Mercurial.
I know that the possible locations are documented at http://linux.die.net/man/5/hgrc , but there are quite a lot of them, and they vary from platform to platform, and they depend on things like the "Mercurial installation directory" , and that’s another thing to keep track of. And sometimes it seems that it loads hgrc files from locations that are not on this list at all!
It would be great if I could get Mercurial to tell me which hgrc files are loading, so I don't have to spend time looking for them. Basically, I would like to pass a hgparameter, for example hg -debug-hgrc-paths, and print the full path to each uploaded file hgrc. It is very similar to how you can get gccto print the heading search paths that it uses with gcc -v -E. Does anyone know about this option?
