How to copy formula by column with org-mode spreadsheet

After using a C-c =formula to enter, I want this formula to be applied to every row in this column. How can I achieve this?

My personal preference is to add the formula directly to the cell column , instead of memorizing so many keyboard shortcuts.

Just start typing in the cell, starting with the character =. For example, in column 3, enter =$1+$2and this formula will be applied to the entire column directly.

You need C-c C-cto apply the formula and calculate the results.

1 Alternatively, use C-c 'to open the formula editing buffer, write and / or edit the formulas, then close the buffer (with C-x C-s). I find this more convenient, since you can use all the emacs commands in the buffer, and not just the limited set that you can use in the minibuffer.
