Access a local .swf file from the Internet (html page)

Our company uses a training management system to train employees. We have a very slow internet connection in some offices. Courses with video content do not start at all.

Our courses consist mainly of an html page that launches a .swf file that launches a bunch of video files.

We thought about copying the .swf file and all the videos to a network drive in each office. In this case, the user launches the .html page..html page, asks him to show the path to the .swf file> the browser will play it all.

Because of this, our method will not work, since the files on the local (or network in our case) are inaccessible and play from the Internet.

We use only Internet Explorer. Is it possible to create an IE extension to make it work? Could you show me an example or give advice on how to do this?

Important: the .sfw file must work in the browser, since it must be able to connect to the LMS to save progress and publish points.

There is one trick you can adapt to.

Since you are ready to place all your training videos on a network drive in your office , it will be useful to place them in the current instance apache httpd. (Any lightweight HTTP server, for that matter).
