Extjs4: beforeshow vs afterrender

Question

What is the difference between the beforeshow and afrerrender events of extjs components.

Also, can I get a link to any document that describes the order in which extjs events are fired (or describes the steps that occur before the component is displayed on the screen)?

beforeShow listener starts only when switching extjs component using show ()

afterRender is launched for each extjs component after it is rendered

Rendering happens before showing; it only makes sense that the component should already be displayed before it can be shown or hidden, etc.
