Is there a way to specify an icon without using images?

My code for customizing the icons is as follows:

    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/Images/favicon.png">
    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/Images/favicon.ico">
    <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="114x114" href="/Images/apple-touch-icon-retina.png">
    <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="72x72" href="/Images/apple-touch-icon-ipad.png">
    <link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="/Images/apple-touch-icon.png">

I use vector icons everywhere in my application.

Does anyone know if there is a way to specify the icon that the browser uses as a vector icon?

This is not currently supported by the browser , so you cannot do this.
